Our cousin Corgan's birthday and party was last Saturday, June 12th. I had to work that day so on the 14th Sydney and I took Corgan and Megan to the Dallas Zoo for his birthday present. Over Memorial Weekend, the zoo opened up their new exhibit, Giants of the Savannah, and it is pretty cool. You can get within feet of the elephants when they are feeding and you even have the opportunity to feed the giraffes lettuce. Unfortunately the giraffes weren't too interested in the lettuce the day we went and wouldn't come to close to any of us. The exhibit also has times were you can see and watch the trainers work with the animals. It is a nice additon to the zoo and there is a lot of land for the elephants and other animals to roam. Megan packed our lunches that day but there is even a restaurant in that area where the whole back of it is glass and looks directly into the lions habitat.

Corgan and Sydney spent a lot of time cooling off in the children's zoo. It was a little on the hot side that day to say the least.
