Our Weekend

This weekend the Pratt's were extremely busy.  We had orginally planned to take Sydney to see Santa Friday afternoon, but our heater broke.  Of course, it had decided to break on one of the coldest days possible.  Oh how I dreamed of being back in Hawaii...

Unfortunately, we had a man over who was unable to fix our heater, so I headed off to our church Christmas party while Jason stayed home to try to find someone else willing to come out on a Friday night.  Luckily, someone in our class knew a trustworthy person who was able to come a take a peek at our unit, and we were so grateful for that.  Thankfully, it was fixed and we were able to sleep snug as a bug in a rug.

Saturday morning we bundled up in our winter gear and met my sister and brother-n-law and their daughter as well as our cousin and her son.  We rode the TRE into Dallas and watched the Annual Adolphus Parade.  It was so much fun and next year we will without doubt have to get there earlier, although the no bathroom, porta-potty only situation is not the greatest situation for any toddler.

Sydney doesn't miss anything.  She was quick to inform Jason, "Frosty has a big bo bo."

Saturday night we met up with one of Jason's close friends, Doug and his fiance Christina.  Doug just got back from Iraq a few weeks ago and we couldn't be happier.

Sunday afternoon was a big day.  We decided to have Sydney's 3rd birthday celebration a few weeks before her birthday since late December weather is unpredictable. Unfortunately, it was cold and misting but the kids did not seem to mind a bit.

Jason refused to wear a red bandana to go along with the barn theme so we were twinkies.

We had such a great time and thankful that everyone came to help celebrate our daughter's birthday.  A special thanks to Annisha and Holly for all their help.
